Larry Shoup, the only water tower I remember in Normal  was the one on the edge of town, apparently this one was located somewhere in the town where I obviously didn't go.  Thanks for the input.

The base of the water tower is on Willow between Oak and Walnut in Normal

Remember the Brack Shop which was located behind Woolworths on Main Street.

This is a picture of the "new" Corn Belt Bank Building located on East Street.  Withers Library was still standing.

Finding items like this one makes down sizing a lot of fun. I found this in a small box not opened for a long time. This 64 years old document, witch I don't remember receiving, had me thinking of the past and forgetting what I was doing.

I can't believe how busy downtown Bloomington used to be.  This is the corner of Main and Washington and I never saw so many people in one block.  Wish it was like that now.

The old Fire House on East Front Street.  Remember going on a field trip there when I was in grade school.

Since no one wants to play Trivia, the answer to my question was the interior to the Green Mill.

Hey Barb,

Both Patty and I tried to recall what restaurant that was but we flunked.  ðŸ˜”  The setting looked familiar but we just couldnt remember the Green Mill.  Thanks for trying.  Cork & Patty

I tried to guess the green mill and could not figure out how to respond to you until now. Oh well. I think my brain quit working on February 25 when Dave passed.

I got to thinking after I posted the picture of the Green Mill, I was in there one time in my life having a Coke after a Y-Teen dance.  I don't remember going to very many places when I was in High School because I didnt have the money or transportation to get there.  Hubbards Cupbord, Steak n Shake and Casellas were my go to places.  Pizza was kind of in its infancy then but you could get a small cheese pizza for ninety cents and that was my favorite.  Favorite spots of anyone else?

Never went to the Green Mill. Wasn't one of the cool kids and didn't have the time nor the money. I spent my time working at the Sinorak making money.  Have I mentioned that Reta and I retired at 55 ? ?

I went with my parents a few times to the Green Mill Inn. Wish I had known that qualified me to join the cool kids group. I also worked (delivery for Phone-A-Feast) made very little money and was married and going to college, ISU. Moved to Florida, New Jersey and now Texas 37 years.

Ultimately  retired at 55 and then my current wife (48 year anniversary this year) decided to start her Private Investigation Company and I became her CFO. 20 years of no financial compensation, but the best fringe benefits. This year we are in the process of retiring again as we have a buyer for the company. During this "semi-retirement period" we have travelled all 50 states, been to Europe and cruised to many different ports. Stiil managed to play golf 2-3 times a week, work out a least 2 times a week and spend lots of quality time with our family.

We both really enjoy and embrace that we are seniors and are always looking for the next great adventure. Stay young, work out, be healthy and enjoy life.

To the Class of 62 we were blessed to grow up during a great time period.
