Dear Classmates,
Ah, so many autumn birthdays in the midwest! Our parents must have huddled together in that cold January/February weather just to keep warm, eh? Happy Birthday, one and all!
I have a few black & white photos to share, which some of you might enjoy, seeing yourselves at my 10th birthday party, at a Forest Park summer camp, and of course, decorating a purple whale at our homecoming parade..."swallow everthing but de-feat!"... remember?? I'll ask Milan to post them on-line so you can have a few laughs.
It's easy to get down, frustrated at Life's losses and obstacles, so I'd like to suggest that we use this Message Forum to recite our most meaningful Ah-h-h-h moments or relationships that fill us with gratitude. Talk about something beautiful--music, nature, art, or mystical...something heroic--courageous, uplifting or patriotic..something healthy or nutritious: a plant-based recipe, fun sporting event, a useful exercise, or a special prayer to soothe one's soul.
Dig deep & open up, even if it means being vulnerable! Your experiences may help another going down the same road. And, remember to say thank you to someone significant TODAY! If our homecoming reunion taught us anything, it was how very short and fragile Life is! So, now is the time to speak up and hug...Dr. Oz says the key to happiness is eight lingering hugs a day!
Consider yourselves hugged...
