How about Miller Jones Shoes, the Bootery, Barkers and Carls.  I don't know if they were all there at the same time or not.  Am I the only one who is looking at these?

Sonja:

If you go to Classmate Profiles and check Alvin Phillips name you will find pictures from Lincoln and Irving Schools.  He has quite a few from dances we had at Irving.

WOW...just went to Alvin's profile.....I'm surprised at how many kids I remembered and sad as well that I've forgotten so many.  I recognize faces but can't recall names to go with.  I also looked at the 50th reunion pictures and could not identify ANYone!

There was a large store on South Main Street (East Side of street)  I believe it was across from Smith Drug.  i remember watching the building burn to the ground.   What kind of store and what name or brand?  This one is for you Milan Jackson!

Sonja,   I have pictures from what I think is sixth grade at Irving.   I think  most of the kids in these are identifed but most of us continued in junior high.  Thought  you might enjoy seeing these "old timers".

Pictures on my profile page.

thanks Dan...I'll check it out.

One more for you Milan..do you have a pic of the old First Presbyterian Church that was torn down for a stupid parking lot?  It was on East Street, but I can't recall the cross street.

Also saw the inter-urban tracks somewhere in posted pics....that started at the "end" of Lincoln Street, just a couple of blocks from our house on South Wright and ended basically in front of my grandparents house in Danvers...just a little trivia for you.
