As Reta and I go over the river and through the palms to some friends' home to celebrate and remember the freedoms we have we want you all to know just how thankful we are to have this country where we can go from town to town and state to state without having to show papeers or wait at borders. We can gather with whomever, whenever and have all this great sunshine and warm weather. Yes, we are truly thankful.

Volunteer needed at our museum;
Volunteer will revise, create, and update new content for existing Wikipedia Pages, as well as create new pages relating to the McLean County Museum of History and local history. Pages may range in subject matter from downtown Bloomington to Adlai Stevenson to Illinois Soldiers' and Sailors' Children School. The topics are endless. This project will also entail creating a detailed list of revisions / updates / a...dditions and new pages in order to keep track of what has been done and when.

Familiarity with Wikipedia and Internet skills are required as are strong reading and writing skills. Knowledge of local history is not, as museum staff will guide the volunteer to Wikipedia pages and local history topics.

Bob Johnson's was such a GREAT place to eat. Their Broasted Chicken was the best chicken I have ever eaten! It was later managed by our very own Bob Knapp who worked there for many, many years.
