Hope everyone is enjoying this wonderful time of the year. We just finished decorating our tree and putting up the lights. This year has gone by so fast, it seems like we just got them all put away. Is that a sign of getting older?
I'm curious as to where the building is that you showed on your last picture. Is it at the corner of Washington and Morris Avenue on the Southwest corner?
At one time on the very corner was Gieses Drug Store. I remember my dad taking us there and they even had a soda fountain. The grocery store was right next to it and was run by Rona Durbins family (she graduated in 1963). West Side Clothing was in there somewhere.
Don't forget the first Class of 1962 breakfast at Shannon's on December 12. This will be a monthly event. Be a part of this. It's lots of fun. 9am is the reservation. Be there!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well I have some fantastic news everyone! My 38 year old daughter Christy (one of my twins) gave birth to twin baby girls on Monday night December 3rd. RaeLin and Sara are their names. Mother, Father and baby girls are all doing well. We are elated! Photo is below:
Breakfast this morning was fun. A very light turn-out but it was the first one. The class of 1963 started with two guys and it grew from there. Now we have at least 12 every week and as many as 25. It will grow. Just keep coming.
