Byrdie was an excellent choice for Editor-in-Chief of our weekly Aegis.  I loved all the hours we spent together writing headlines and articles for the paper.  Her columns were always fun to read.  Mr. H. gave us each a bound copy of our senior year and I'll bring it to the reunion in October.  It has become my most prized possession of our years at BHS.

From when we met in first grade at Washington School, Brydie was one of my best friends. She was very dear to me; we spent so many fun times together. One of the memorable weekends we spent together was our senior prom - neither one of us had a date for that big event. So we went to Springfield to Byrdie's sister house and helped her sister with some housework. But seriously, she was not only a great friend, she was a terrific wife, mother and grandmother. I will always miss her. Patti
