John Penn

I began working as a construction worker, joining Laborers Local 362 in August 1965, I joined the U.S. Air Force January 4th,1967 and served 23 months in Southeast Asia, with duties in South Korea and South Vietnam.
While serving in Vietnam I was able to spend some time with a very good and close friend, Gordon Cannon U.S.M.C. Gordon and I were to join the Air Force on the buddy plan but Gordon joined the Marines January 3rd, 1967
I married Mary Tatman on February 25, 1967 and we have a beautiful daughter,Shawn Marie Eiker, three grandchildren and three great grandchildren
I continue to work as a member of Laborers Local 362 and received my 50 year pin in August of this year, I was elected Vice President of the Laborers International Union of North America September 2011
I give a lot of credit for my success to my teachers, coaches, classmates and credit all of my success to my wife Mary and my family

Enjoyed having several classes with Gordon Cannon, especially Mrs. Wilcox and Mr Kohler classes, Gordon kept the pressure off of his classmates
