Are there any black friday shoppers out there? Me neither. I would rather brace the crowds the day after Christmas. Anyway, today I am trying to rememeber where to put all these dishes and extra silverware. I think every untensil, dish and glass in my kitchen was used yesterday! We had lots of fun, food and drink and for this we are thankful. I hope you had a blessed Thanksgiving too.

Merry Christmas.  I've noticed that no one has logged-in for almost a week.  I'm changing the background for the season.

Anyone have anything  interesting to post?

It has been awhile since I was on here so thought I'd say "Hello" to you all. I hope you are keeping warm and well if you are in cold country. Arizona only had about a month of colder weather just enough to freeze all our yard plants. We are now breaking records for the warmest days in February. The official temp was 84 yesterday but it was just under 98 on our back patio.

I hope you are all well and are keeping up with those grandkids. wink

Have a great Valentine's Day!!!

Hugs, Jerry

P.S. I almost forgot to wish the January and February kids a Happy Birthday!!!! Best wishes for many, many more.

Not much going on out here is there? We are taking a couple of days to visit friends and family this weekend. Sedona, AZ., Las Vegas, NV. and back to Chandler, AZ. (going to watch our Grand Daughter Lindsey play some softball.)

Have a wonderful weekend.

Memorial Day has always been a special day in my life. I was raised by my stepfather who served in the Navy and was at Pearl Harbor. He taught me about the love and respect he had for this country and I get all misty when I hear our National Anthem or see our flag waving proudly in the wind. I am proud to be an American.

Thank all of you who have served this great country, may God bless you and your families forever.

Sincerely, Jerry

Jeryl, thanks for your comments about the VET's. I also get teary eyed when the national anthem is played. I have been to several Blackhawks games at the old Chicago stadium and I can tell you after being around jet engines for over 20 years, they do not compare with the noise generated by the Blackhawks fans during the national anthem. The first time I experienced it I was in absolute shock--therafter I participated in the relvery. Oh, by the way, they are in the Stanley Cup finals against Tampa Bay (they have a NHL team?) so if you get a chance watch the first part of a game when they play the anthem in Chicago. Trust me, you'll be amazed.

Love to all,

John
