Dianna K. Hauptman, 78, of Bloomington, passed away Sunday, January 25, 2026, at Carle BroMenn Medical Center in Normal. Dianna was born on July 7, 1947, in Bloomington, the daughter of Martin J. and Velma F. (Mullinax) Hauptman. She is survived by a sister, Jerrilyn Flynn of Bloomington, a brother, John (Deborah) Hauptman of Morrison; a sister-in-law, Margaret Hauptman of Sylvania, OH; nine nieces and nephews, Brian (Jesse) Flynn, Jeff (Ana) Flynn, Jennie (Tom) Hoekstra, Kevin (Meagan) Flynn; Kelly (Paul) Delaney, Reed Hauptman, Scott (Brittany) Hauptman; Libby Seiffert and Katie (Casey) Turner; nineteen great nieces and great nephews, Harrison, Graham, Lily and Carter Hoekstra, Parker, Riley and Dylan Flynn, Celeste Garcia Flynn, Seamus and Nicola Flynn, Andrew and Campbell Delaney, Jackson, Anna and Luke Hauptman, Tanner and Ryan Hauptman, Andrew Seiffert and Charlotte Turner. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Martin Hauptman, a brother-in-law, Michael Flynn and a nephew, Dan Flynn.

Dianna graduated from Trinity High School in 1965 and attended Medical Technology School at Brokaw Hospital, where she worked for several years. She was also employed at IAA for a time, and eventually Mitsubishi, from where she retired.

Dianna had a strong faith in Jesus Christ and lived her life through her faith. She was a member of the Moriah Foundation and was active in ministry with the prayer team and lay counseling. She was a prayer warrior, sending daily prayers to friends and family. During the pandemic in an effort to stay connected with her family, she began sending her “joke of the day” which often contained rather corny humor, but brought a smile to the faces of everyone who received it. She continued this practice every day, including the day of her passing. Dianna was also a prolific birthday and anniversary card creator and she took great joy in sending her cards to family and many friends.

Dianna was loved by many and will be dearly missed.
