Patrick Lawrence Weber

Patrick L. Weber, 59, Peru, formerly of Bloomington, died Sunday (September 2, 2007) while vacationing in Las Vegas.  He suffered from a short illness.

His funeral will be at 9:00am Saturday at Carmody-Flynn Williamsburg Funeral Home and at 10:00am at St. Mary’s Church, both in Bloomington, with the Rev Ric Schneider officiating.  Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery in Merna.  Visitation will be from 4:00 – 7:00pm Friday at the funeral home with a prayer service at 3:45.

Memorials may be made to the Tuition Assistance Fund at St. Mary’s Grade School, Bloomington or to the Pat Weber LaSalle-Peru High School Memorial Scholarship Fund 541 Charters St., LaSalle, IL 61301.

Pat was born on November 25, 1947 in Bloomington, a son of Francis and Marge Weber.

Surviving are his mother, three sisters: Carole (Tom) Grantham; Huntington Beach, CA; Mary (Loren) Keim, Bloomington; and Sharon Lamb, Normal; three brothers: Tom (Beth) Weber, Laguna Niguel, CA; John (Julie) Weber and Dan (Beth) Weber, both of Bloomington.10 nieces, seven nephews and two great-nieces.  He was preceded in death by his father and two brothers: Michael and Joseph (infant).

Pat was a 1965 graduate of Trinity High School.  He served in the US Army from June 1970 to January 1972.  He obtained his undergraduate and graduate degrees from Illinois State University prior to teaching / counseling at LaSalle-Peru High School for more than 30 years.  He also taught at the Illinois Valley Community College for the past several years.  He was an active member of the Knights of Columbus in LaSalle.

Pat loved to travel and play golf with his friends.  He was a loving son, brother, special uncle and friend to many.  He was loved by all and will be dearly missed.
