Michael Walker Wunderle, 63, Normal, died at 10:20pm Wednesday (September 1, 2010) at Advocate BroMenn Medical Center, Normal.

His funeral will be at 5:00pm Sunday at the Carmody-Flynn Williamsburg Funeral Home, Bloomington, with the Rev Thomas Wirsing officiating.  Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 2 – 5:00pm Sunday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Central Illinois.

Mike was born August 15, 1947, in Bloomington, the son of Wilbur “Barney” and Sarah E. Walker Wunderle.  He married DiAnne Powell on December 20, 1973 in Bloomington.  She survives.

He is also survived by three children:  Lance (Amy) Dorrell, Normal; Brian (Wendy) Wunderle, Bloomington and Lori (Nick)Verkler, Normal; seven grandchildren: Noah Stefan Dorrell, Samuel Eoin Dorrell, Andrew “Drew” Ray Farrell, Ryan Michael Farrell, Marlie Anne Verkler, Nicholas Reid Verkler and Cole Walker Verkler.; and one niece, Shelby Wunderle, Golden, CO.
