Obituary -

Margaret Ann "Margy" (Rediger) Hand, 70, of Elm Grove, WI, (formerly Oak Park, Chicago and Bloomington, IL) was born on October 12, 1947 and left us peacefully on Sunday, September 16, 2018 at her home.  She is survived by her husband of 45 years, William Hand of Elm Grove, WI; her daughter, Helen (Jodi) Fisher and their daughters Abigail and Samantha all of Menomonee, WI; and their son William (Megan) Hand and their children Emily, William, Logan and Rediger all of Greenville, SC.  Devoted sister-in-law to Susan Hand (Drew) Barry of Naples, FL and their sons Gage of Chicago, IL and Seth (Jessica) and their daughter Caroline all of Hillsborough, NC.

Margy retired from the WI Department of Corrections as a Probation & Parole Officer following careers in Chicago, IL teaching college level Anatomy & Physiology and performing immunology assays in a research and cinical laboratory at a large medical center.

Services will be held Saturday, September 22 at St. Mary's Visitation Church, 1260 Church St, Elm Grove, (Milwaukee), WI.  Visitation will be from 9:00 - 11:00am followed by a funeral mass.  Donations to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society are appreciated.  Internment will follow at a somewhat later date in a private ceremony at the St. Mary's Visitation Parish cemetery.

Margy was a wonderful friend.  I feel blessed to have known her these many years.  A song from the Catholic tradition seems fitting as we bid farewell to our classmate.

"Go now in peace faithful friend of God, as you take our love into paradise.  God's holy people will bring you home into the wide waiting arms of our God."
