Michael O. Hackett, 42, of 824 S. McGregor St, Bloomington, died at 9:34p.m. Wednesday (December 14, 1988) at St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington. He had been in ill health.

His funeral will be at 9:30am Saturday at Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home, Bloomington, and at 10:00am at St Robert Bellarmine Newman Center, Normal, the Rev. Joseph J. Kelly officiating. Burial will be Holy Cross Cemetery in Normal. Visitation will be from 4 to 7pm Friday at the Funeral Home, with the rosary recited at 6:30p.m.

Mr. Hacket was born October 20, 1946 in Bloomington, a son of John "Jack" and June Walter Hackett. He married Rebecca Catton February 24, 1968 in Peoria. She survives in Chillicothe.

Also surviving are his parents, 824 McGregor St, Bloomington; one son, Thomas, Oklahoma; two daughters: Tricia and Shannon Hackett both of Chillicothe; and one sister, Mary D. O'Donnell, 1406 Dillon Drive, Normal.

Mr. Hackett attended St. Mary's Grade School in Bloomington and graduated from Peoria Central High School.

He was a former member of St Edwards Catholic Church, Chillicothe. He had been employed as a pressman for International Paper Company, Peoria for 19 years and had served in the U.S. Army.

Memorials may be made to the St. Vincent De Paul Society of Holy Trinity Church, Bloomington.
