Geez, Do you suppose people are actually trying to get stuff done at work??

I saw people were talking about their High school cars earlier.
Mine was a '64 Chrysler Newport........HUGE car with a busted rear spring.

Jen Lerud had that great Dodge dart too! Those were such great cars for cruz'n! Those pictures you loaded outside the met are classics!

Everyone that can, please load pictures on the web from the reunion. Then those of us that cant attend can be be there vicariously through them!

Funny all this talk of cars! I just got a note from Shelly Franz and the first thing she brought up was all our escapades in my Dodge Dart. As I recall, the back seat was a traveling closet and the front passenger seat had no floor below - "FEET UP PEOPLE!!!"

Well, not dissin' it. At least it had a radio and was much nicer than my current ride - the NYC subway and crazy taxi drivers who risk my life daily :)

Jenny Ler

Funny - just saw Shelly's post! Glad my hot ride made the message board!

Not pea green(actually could not tell what the real color was -- brown, maybe copper??) but the 62 Nova I drove while my 69 Comaro was really something. I could see out the floor boards and the front driver fender lifed right off -- but the 350 under the hood was awsome to those that wanted to laugh till I blew their doors off!

Came back to bite me after the river bottoms with my Comaro -- Dale stops to pick up a hitch hiker and i got nailed!

Just got the following e-mail from Chuck Luttrell:

Craig, Betty,

Apologies for the late note, but my wife has been in Germany for the last 6 weeks so this is the first I heard about the reunion. Thanks for remembering the former Minnesota boy. Unfortunately, I am in the Arabian Gulf again during the reunion. This is my fourth deployment to
the region since 2004 and I return from this trip in October. I did live in Iraq from Feb-May 2006. I have only been back to MN once since my mom died in 94 but I may make it back next summer. Survived a 600 mile an hour plane crash but had to be revived twice. Was unable to
travel to my dad's funeral in Oct 96.
At the 10 year reunion, Patricia Cook guessed I would still be in the Navy for life. Please pass to her that yes, "Chucky" is still in the Navy. I have promoted as far as I can and will retire in August of 2011,
the first day they will let me. We have our retirement home built just outside the city of Bellingham WA on a lake and in the middle of a golf course. I look forward to enjoying them both after I retire.
Best wishes to both of you and thank you for taking the time to organize the event. Please acknowledge receipt. You don't have to write anything, I would just like to know the letter made it. Connectivity on
the ship (ABRAHAM LINCOLN) is not always good.

Chuck

Betty,

Thanks for posting Chuck's letter. Maybe the best post yet.

Chuck, thanks for serving on our behalf. And you deserve that great retirement home you describe.

I second that, it was a great post. ( We will jokingly have to ask Chuck if he chose " The Lincoln"....since we are all jfk's. :)

God Bless You Chuck. Thanks Betty. Three more days!

Chuck Luttrell

Michelle,
This is the second time I have been stuck on Lincoln. My brother laughs at me about it because he graduated from Lincoln in 74.

Cindy Westlund,

Thanks for the note. I am not going to share any stories but whenever I hear Seals and Croft I am reminded of you. Do you remember why?

To whoever set up the web page thank you. I have been here in the 110 degree heat for four months and just having this page the last day has been a huge lift in spirits. Thanks to everyone who has sent a note.
