Betty M. Pate (Jorgenson)
Just got the following e-mail from Chuck Luttrell:
Craig, Betty,
Apologies for the late note, but my wife has been in Germany for the last 6 weeks so this is the first I heard about the reunion. Thanks for remembering the former Minnesota boy. Unfortunately, I am in the Arabian Gulf again during the reunion. This is my fourth deployment to the region since 2004 and I return from this trip in October. I did live in Iraq from Feb-May 2006. I have only been back to MN once since my mom died in 94 but I may make it back next summer. Survived a 600 mile an hour plane crash but had to be revived twice. Was unable to travel to my dad's funeral in Oct 96. At the 10 year reunion, Patricia Cook guessed I would still be in the Navy for life. Please pass to her that yes, "Chucky" is still in the Navy. I have promoted as far as I can and will retire in August of 2011, the first day they will let me. We have our retirement home built just outside the city of Bellingham WA on a lake and in the middle of a golf course. I look forward to enjoying them both after I retire. Best wishes to both of you and thank you for taking the time to organize the event. Please acknowledge receipt. You don't have to write anything, I would just like to know the letter made it. Connectivity on the ship (ABRAHAM LINCOLN) is not always good. Chuck
