Many thanks for all the birthday greetings.

And to those that I missed, I apologize! I can now not only blame it on being blonde, i can also add old age to my list of excuses!!

Jeff, I am REALLY ready for that drink now! Call me when you hit the ground.

To all the EAGLES -- lets make this the BEST year yet! Lets show the world just how great the 40's can be!

Who parties better than the CLASS OF 78?? NO ONE!!

Lets get to it -- Nando's anyone?

Birthdays! Birthdays!
I still love 'em! I'll be 49 and proud of it!

Happy Birthday Dona (belated by 1 days) and Jeff R. (belated by 2 days). I hope they were good for you!

Did you know that when we were 1 years old, we had finished living 1 year. Likewise when we turn 49, we have finished living 49 years and are really starting our 50th year!!! So even though we're 49 in number of our age, we're working on completing our 50th year!

Hmmm....So does that give us a reason to celebrate that 50 birthday year now?!! : )

Marilyn,

Happy birthday to my long time locker buddy.
Remember how old our parents seemed at 50??
I don't feel anything like that.
Life is what you make it.

I agree with you John, . . . I still feel like I'm 20, but the old guy in the bathroom mirror says otherwise.

Adam,
I thought we talked about that "mirror" issue .. your starting to scare me now!

John,
You are one of many that will never have to worry about growing old as long as your a kid at heart!

those of us that are grandparents -- WE are the ones that have something to WORRY about! :)

Marilyn,
Gee thanks - not only did we loose and hour from daylight savings - now we just aged an extra year!! lol MG have a good one. Guess that means double fisted drinking then, right?

I just read something that made another part of my childhood die.

Steve Cannon of "The Cannon Mess" on WCCO radio passed away yesterday.
I had a flashback to riding around in my dad's truck listening to WCCO (I think that was the only station available back then) and hearing that unmistakable baritone voice of Steve Cannon and his "sidekicks" Morg Mundane, Ma Linger and Backlash LaRue. I can hear the "barking dog" theme song right now

God, I miss the 60's and early 70's, I consider them the last true age of innocence

John,

I am right with you. I was at the dentist office with the kids and it was no the front page of the paper. As like you, my dad and I would drive around listening to the show and chasing spot lights to see what was at the other end. Another chapter closed.

Anyone ever tell you it sucks getting older??

About the "true age of innocence" John, are you sure you want to go there??

I must be pretty lucky - my husband can do a dead-on impression of Steve Cannon - especially his "Hi Gang!"

Betty, I think "dead-on" may be a poor choice of words given the circumstances, but I think Morgan Mundane would find the humor in it.

Ok, so not to turn to religion here...But since it is the Holy Week..before Easter..Besides feelings of great joy & mixed with emmotions of pain & suffering, it is a great time for personal reflection..checking personal priorities, as well as being thankful for what we each have in familys & friends! ( ps/ I'll let Mark Chapman add in the sermon for us..)

I am partial to this song, and this singer (I have had the opportunity to sing in my church many versions of songs she has sung individually & when she was singing with Selah) I thought you would enjoy this...it is beautiful

And this is the last one I will post prior to Easter guys, but it is a GREAT song called " resurrection"

Thanks for listening to it! Shelly

My bad on the "dead-on" comment - sometimes it just trips off the tongue!
