Marilyn-- WOW, that is great to hear about your grandma; since I saw my Dad decline so fast, I am just so amazed & appreciative of what those who are in their later years are doing, accomplishing, and living virtually on their own-- IT IS AMAZING to say the least! Relish in that! And I think Dona is correct, def tape her! It will be so invaluable for you in the future years, and/or your kids. My sisters still have the IPHONE recordings of my Dad's last minutes of life, while the three of us girls were with him in his last dying minutes. It is so phenomenal to hear it, and heart wretching to see-- but I am so grateful and can't believe tht they captured him actually going to heaven as far as I am concerned, and unbeknowst to them that it would be his last breaths! Just so valuable footage for me to show my kids when they get a little bigger and can handle it-- because my youngest twin was actually talking to my dad, whic makes it even more of a precious thing to have, seeing hiis responses to her as he knew he was dying. Unbelievable.
So anytime you can capture something on film, it is an heirloom indeed!
Wade Boelter-- HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! Hope you all that are stil in MN celebrate with him!
FYI-- My family will be leaving the warmth of Texas and heading for Ohio in/around June. My husband took a new job with Continental/ United there-- so "Shelly is heading back to the COLD country" ---ARGH! at least when I first get there--- summer! It will help me ease back into the 4 seasons!
Take care everyone-- Life is hectic lately, but God is good to us here in Texas! No complaints from me, I have been blessed indeed!
