Retired in April, 2020, from Arizona State University after 26 years seeing to the maintenance needs of the Memorial Union building. Moved from Scottsdale to Sierra Vista in February, 2021.

Jack Rodgers came to school one day looking a little different at lunch time. The top of one ear was very red. Jack said he and his dad got into a fight over a pistol he had. Dad wanted it, and Jack wouldn't give it to him. They fought over it in the back yard. His dad was getting the worst of it and changed the outcome like Mike Tyson did two generations later. The surgeon at St. Francis said he could re-attach the piece of ear if they could find it soon. No luck. Jack speculated the dog probably picked it up, so the doc took a skin graft from the inside of one thigh to reconstruct the ear. I wonder if anyone else remembers.
