I have been a psychologist in private practice for 35 years. I enjoy my work and have worked with a wide variety of people and problems. My specialities are kids, behavior problems, trauma, and depression in children. process oriented psychotherapy with teens and young adults. I am glad to be working in an area I like that invoves helping others in deep ways.
I have lived in Bakersfield for most of the last 34 years although my primary residence was in Santa Monica for about 4 years in the 90's.Bakersfield is the 9th largest city in CA.at about 380,000 people (which would probably be in the top 4 in Ohio) It has grown from 120,00 in 1980. It seems to be, somewhat of an international city as I work with Latinos, Asians, African, Indian, and Arabic peoples in my practice. It is exciting to be a part of the growth and diversification. I also like that it is only 100 miles from LA., the culture and the museums.
There was a bond between me and many classmates given the amount of time each day we spent together beginning in elementary school.
I have funny memories though some of which were mischievous. I remember when Doug Clark was over at my house, sneaking my Mom's extra keys and attempting to back it out a carport in which you had to manuever the car through posts on either side (a two car port) and then begin preparing to move the car to the middle of a one lane gravel driveway lined by trees. This was my idea and Doug reluctantly went along with it. Well, I scraped the car on the post.It was Doug's idea to go and buy spray paint to paint over the scratch which we did. Nobody was the wiser and I was grateful to Doug for saving me .

I remember Judy from the connection I had with her at the Good Hope Lutheran Church during high school. We had a shared duty of calling Luther League members. She was easy to talk to and I had wanted to continue a connection afterwards, but it wasn't to be. My heart goes out to her family and friends!
