DeEtte Munson Barney

I can hardly believe we are having our 40 year class reunion. After we graduted from BYU in 1982, my husband and I and our three little boys, moved back to Idaho and lived there until 2010. Although we live in Utah now, Idaho will always be my home. We traveled all over the state, living in Twin Falls, Lewiston, Hayden Lake, Moscow, Buhl, Hailey and Victor, pretty much as north, south, east, and west as possible.
We raised six children in Idaho and now are the happy grandparents of 15 grandchildren, soon to be 17. I have worked in many school districts through out the state and enjoyed my association with each of the teachers and administrators I was associated with.
These days I am busy in several different areas, I volunteer at the Salt Lake City Veteran's Hospital, am on the HOA board for the condo where I live, I am the captain elect for a service group I am a part of, but mostly I love the chance I have to visit my family whenever possible.
Not many regrets for the life I have been blessed to live. I love my faith, my family and this beautiful world we are fortunate to live on.

When I think back to high school I think the things that come to mind for me are band/drill team trips, good friends and wondering what my future would be like. Being a Borah Lionette was such fun and kept all of us busy. So glad I had the opportunity to come to early morning practices with a bunch of girls that enjoyed something like I did. What a remarkable man Mr. Perkins was for us, in band and drill team.
I was also glad that many of us could walk across the street and attend LDS seminary each day. Good friends were there also, as well as growth and preparation for my future. Good times!
