Besides being terrific in sports and music, Maureen's personality, infectious laugh and popularity touched everyone. That being said, she was the first young lady I had the courage to ask out on my first ever date in 8th grade. We went to Lynnwood Roll-a-Way. Little did I know she was a first class skater, while I could barely stand on my skates. She was so gracious and helpful during our date, that by the time the skate session was over she had taught me how to enjoy my experience on skates. We also had a wonderful lunch before my Mom came to pick us up. Even though that was our only date, I was privileged to be a friend and watched Maureen, through our high school years, to see her become even more confident and positive about herself.
I had lost touch with Moe/Maureen over the years but we were the best of friends through out junior and high school. I don't know how many of you remember MO and Max? We doubled dated, active in GRA and band. She was truly one of kind. They just needed another drummer angel !.
