School Story:
I worked a year before I left to go to art school in Stuttgart, Germany. I worked at Western Electrochemical Co. in Henderson and also at the Boulder City Theatre after graduating from Boulder City High School in 1954.
I studied two years at the Academie der Bildenden Kunst in Stuttgart and returned to study at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago and University of Chicago in 1957. I graduated with a BFA in 1959 and came to New York City. Mike and I met at the Art Institute of Chicago where he was a 4th year student at the time. We reunited in New York in 1959 and married in 1961. We moved to Garrison, NY in 1964 and renovated a 5,000 sq. ft. red brick Carriage House over a period of 35 years. In 1999, we moved to a nearby cottage on our property which we renovated and extended. We have lived here with wonderful winter views of The Military Academy of West Point and the Highlands Gap (Storm King and Breakneck Mountains) across the Hudson River from us. (They don't make mountains here the way they did in the western U.S.)
