Ralph (Mac) Magee (1957)

I was in the Naval Reserve, Surface Division 11-34, in Las Vegas, with Ed. Haven't heard nor seen of him since then, but am surely sorry to note his passing.

Smooth sailing, Ed.

Roy Atkin (1956)

When Ed first moved to Boulder City we nick named him Overton, because his family had moved from Moapa Valley to BC.

Ed was in the 6th grade when he came. He was the oldest along with his sister, Pauline and brothers, Tom,Pete, Marvin and Denny.

Ed was a terrific athlete. Had he stayed with it the outcome of the 1956 basketball team would have been better. Perhaps a State Championship.

In PE Ed was always the first person chosen or he was asked to chose others. He was a winner.

Ed ran the mile and in his barefeet on the cinder track. I think he lettered 4 years in track. It seemed he could run forever.

Ed was a great conversationalist and it was stated the he had the gift of gab. This is because he was always friendly to others. He always had a smile on his face when he met you.

Ed will be missed by all who knew him.

I remember Ed because he was my brother Jack's best friend. He was always nice to us younger ones. May he rest in peace Mary Peterson (Quinn)
