This past BCHS reunion, 2016, continued a wonderful tradition that I look forward to each fall. It means so much to visit with school friends who continue to share what life brings through our efforts.

School Story:

As I was walking to a seventh grade class I over heard a conversation between 2 teachers. Since I was 6 years old I had planned on becoming a music teacher. My ears perked up when one of the teachers ahead of me exclaimed, "I have taught for 5 years now!"

"Wow!" I thought, "That is really a long time to teach."

I remember that feeling as I am still teaching since 1960!!

Kenny was a classmate K - Senior who was always a friend to everyone at school.  His mother was always a class mother with special treats for special occasions.  Central Market was always our market with a wonderful meat selection.  Since my dad was a cowboy, he really appreciated that department!  Kenny came to our class reunions and especially showed how much he cared for his cousin, Dick Dielman!

Because our school classes were seated in alphabetical order, Wayne was always seated at the front of our first row:). Maybe being the first in class gave him a permanent place for things that had to be done.  His life-saving adventure described here add to our appreciation for Wayne as he moved into real life following his school life.

Susan and I shared our interests in music and English.  She helped our class of '57' through our regular summer reunions with her skills of organization and details.  Three years ago Susan invied me to go with her to Karak, Jordan and the Mutah University where we met with her former students and their families.  They enterained us with food and friendship that showed how much they honored her. Susan now will continue to bless people who love her!

Being with Barbara during our BCHS reunions was always special.  Barbara was always one of the most beautiful girls I ever knew:  inside and out:)

Marcia was a best friend in high school.  We walked home together almost every day after school because we lived on neighboring streets.  Sometimes I walked into her home with her and enjoyed her family, too.  She had a fun laugh and we enjoyed telling fun stories to each other.  That continued as we met for class reunions in the summer.

Olynnda was interested in everyone; we noticed that throughout our school years.  When reunions were held we always looked forward to being with her, because she wanted to know how we were doing.  She even came to our last reunion to visit with every bit of energy she could find in herself with her cancer situation.

She was a leader, because she was a great example of caring for everyone.  At Nevada Girls State we were thrilled that her qualities were so obvious on even short acquaintance. How lucky we were to have her in our BCHS class of "57"
