Marlyn A. Milne
In memory of a heart so deeply loved and a life so beautifully lived, we announce with great sorrow the passing of our loving mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, Marlyn A. Milne, age 73. She resided in Henderson and Boulder City Nevada and passed away in her family home in Boulder City surrounded by her loved ones.
She was blessed and is survived by her daughter Robin Bourne Coppinger, her grandchildren Alexis and Evan Sutherland. Additionally, brothers Sam and John Gutierrez and sisters, Sally Yeoman, Nancy Walser, Rose Tinger, Leah Ulivarri and Linda Gutierrez, and many nieces and nephews and friends.
Marlyn, was born and raised in Boulder City, to her parents Samuel and Rose Gutierrez and graduated from Boulder City High school in 1965.
Marlyn retired, as a Special Investigator from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department in 2007.
She was an extraordinary person blessed with a creative and artistic nature and blessed us all with her cherished and meaningful gifts which came from her heart. She lived a productive and fulfilling lifestyle with a passion for family, friends, traveling, yoga and exercise, great food, and she took great pleasure finding new and exciting restaurants to try. During retirement, she loved taking classes in art, history, religion, anything that enhanced her connection between physical, intellectual and spiritual health.
She was a very spiritual person whose highest priority was to be loving and kind to others, she cared deeply for her family and friends and was always the person that reached out to give a helping hand, advice, or just a hug. Her heart was always in New Mexico, with Ron and where she loved to visit and planned to someday have a second home. She can now be with Ron in heaven and the Land of Enchantment will be with her forever in her heart.
She was the soul of our family, and the center of our universe. We love you so much. God blessed us with your life here and he will bless you even more in heaven. We love and miss you now and forever. You will live in our loving hearts until we see you again in heaven.

Mary Quinn (Peterson) (1965)
Marlyne, was a friend to all who knew her. I can still hear her special laugh. In death, she is gone but in our hearts and memories, she is still very much with us. May the love and support of family and friends carry her loved ones past this difficult time. Remember death separates our bodies but our hearts remain the same. I'm so sorry for the loss of another school friend and my deepest sympathy for her family. Mary Peterson (Quinn) class of 65
Allen Chubbs (1965)
Marlyne and her siblings (I remember Sam and John the best) lived just through the block from us, over on "K" street. We would see each other often and enjoy street stuff -- ball, watermelon, plain old drinks of wather out of a garden hose. Marlyne did some great things in her life. What a nice remembrance, Mary Quinn! And Linda, who wrote the announcement, did a superb job.
Candy Cole (Harrison) (1965)
I am so very deeply saddened to hear of Marlyn’s passing She was such a special friend of mine. When I think of her, I reminisce on how wonderful our lives used to be in little Boulder City. She was my best friend and we spent so much time together growing up. She was like a part of my family. My Dad loved to call her Mars Bar and to this day my brothers and I still think of her as Mars Bar. She was a delightful, beautiful, caring person and I send my most sincere condolences to her family. God Bless.

Roger Wagner (1965)
I was a shy kid who moved to Boulder City in 1963 from North Dakota. The first person I met on that first day in Boulder City High School was Marlyne.. She showed me around town and introduced me to many of my new classmates that very first day. While we never dated, we ran around a lot and spent time water skiing on Lake Mead. She was a good friend and a special person in my Boulder City years. My sincere sympathy to her family and friends.

She was such a sweet person. So sorry to hear of her passing. May the Lord be with all the family during this time of loss.
