I was a waitress and prep-cook for 52 years while rearing my kids solo, and also developing a 10-acre country property near Ashland, Oregon. I recently published a book titled: "The House That Dorothy Built", available on Amazon.com if anyone is interested in reading the reviews. My website is:

I graduated from Carpinteria High School (near Santa Barbara,CA) in 1960, but got married and had 2 kids in Reno, NV, then moved to Ashland Oregon in 1981 to buy land and build a log house, long after my divorce in 1973. I love the desert and wonderful memories in Boulder City, but I'm here to stay.
I was SOOO pleased to find the Boulder City classmate website recently! I hope to hear from some of you. All the memories came flooding back when I read your names and saw the old photos.
My first love (mad crush) was John Bromley, from ages 10 to 12. I used to walk on the street where he lived just to be near his house. He probably didn't know I existed and I was too shy and giggly to let on. Kathleen Hunter was my best friend. She was very smart, and a fun friend to walk home from school with as we chatted nonstop. I was saddened to hear of her recent death.

Mrs. Eaton was my favorite teacher in 6th grade Home-Ec back in 1954. She made each student feel special, and she taught me to cook and sew and was so encouraging and wonderful I remember her well to this day.
I am happy to know that such a good human being lived to 100. She definitely made MY world a better place .

David Anderson was my brother Leonard Ainsworth's best friend in high school. They were both brainiacs and had great intellectual discussions about math and science that were so over our heads we couldn't understand a word they were saying!
Leonard always spoke highly of David, and the respect was mutual.

Kathleen Hunter was my best friend while I was in school in Boulder City...1952-1956 (ages 10-13).
We walked each other home from school each day chatting and laughing nonstop, but if we had more to talk and laugh about, I walked her home first , then she walked me BACK home, and then I walked her BACK home AGAIN. We went to a school dance and I was envious that John Bromley asked her to dance but not me to dance..and I was the one who had a mad crush on him, so I lived vicariously that night.
Kathleen was very pretty and very nice..and SMART as a whip. I was so saddened to hear of her death.
