Many of you might have heard the sad news of Jake Hoffman's passing on facebook, but we just wanted to let all of you know that Jake passed away on 2/23/10, after a recent battle of cancer. Jake just found out he had cancer in January and had started chemo/radiation on January 28.Jake recently wrote on facebook, "Thanks to those who have wished me love and luck and prayers... I love you and need you.. "When trials are not consequences of our disobedience, they are evidence the Lord feels we are prepared to grow more." -Richard G Scott"
Jake went to high school with us our sophomore & junior year and then graduated from Brighton High School. He & his wife, Ali, attended our 20-yr high school reunion this past summer and we all had fun seeing Jake and catching up with him.
We'll send more details later about the viewing & funeral.
