Lance Michael Evans

Lance Michael Evans returned home to his Heavenly Father unexpectedly on September 5, 2021. He was born June 5, 1971 to Michael Alex Evans and Patricia Hintze Evans in Bountiful, Utah.

Lance graduated from Bountiful High and then served in the California San Diego LDS mission. Lance married Lory Anne Bryson on December 29, 1998 in the Bountiful temple. Lance and Lory have been blessed with three beautiful children, Alex Michael (20), Emma Anne (17) and Max Bryson (14).  Lance loved being a dad! He was so proud of their accomplishments and the kind, strong people they are becoming.

After spending the first month of Max’s life in the NICU of Primary Children’s Hospital, Lance realized he missed his calling in life and returned to school at Weber State to earn a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing. This led him to work at Primary Children’s Hospital, where he spent many years of gratifying work giving back to kids and their families. While there he received many awards and accolades for the great care he gave his patients and their loved ones.

At the time of his passing, Lance was serving as the Director of Rocky Mountain Skilled Care. Serving in this position gave him the unique opportunity to have his testimony strengthened by the spiritual giants he compassionately cared for.

Lance lived big, loved big and cheered for his Utes big. He personified the phrase, “A Utah Man Am I.” Lance has a testimony of his Savior, Jesus Christ, and the knowledge that families are forever through the Plan of Salvation. He will continue to be an influence on his family as he loves and leads from the other side.

He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Lory, his children Alex, Emma and Max. His parents, Mike and Pat Evans. His siblings, Angie (Todd), Eric, Troy (Emily) and his nieces and nephews that adore him.
