Darin Kelly Johnson, age 47, passed away July 11, 2019 in the house that he shared with his longtime friend Renee Barela in Lawndale, California. Born July 24, 1971 in Bountiful, Utah, Darin was the youngest child of Denton Riley Johnson and Doris Crane Johnson.

Darin worked most of his career in the automotive and motorcycle manufacturing industries as an emissions certification and government compliance expert. He was well known and respected in his industry. His hobbies included: golf, ice hockey, billiards and riding motorcycles. Darin was a very charismatic person that made friends easily and bought people together.

Darin married Sarah Bevan in 1997, but they later separated and divorced.

Darin will be laid to rest next to his parents in the Herriman, Utah cemetery.

Survived by his six siblings: Dale Johnson, ReNae Ellis, Dee Johnson, Brad Johnson, Carl Johnson and Vaun Johnson. Darin also had many nieces and nephews that loved him plus large networks of good friends in both Utah and California. He will be missed by all that knew him.

The family will be holding a memorial event on July 24, 2019 (Darin’s Birthday) at the Herriman home of his niece Marie Pestana. Friends and relatives are welcome, please contact a family member for time and directions if you would like to attend.
