School Story
Recently my mom passed away, and BHS alumni and others pulled together to purchase a plane ticket for my Jaimee Kae Despain Blood to come to funeral. One of the most humbling experiences ever, I wish I could describe how much that helped my heart during one of the most difficult days of my life.
Our senior year, not many people know, my family was struggling financially (my dad had suffered a stroke and couldnt work) I was one of those on the receiving end of the SUB 4 SANTA drive. It was hard for me to not feel embarrassed, but I look back and think that was a huge experience for me. I believe that people are innately good, and I KNOW that I grew up with and attended school with some of the greatest humans on earth.
