Memorial Scholarship

BRACKETT HIGH SCHOOL

CLASS OF 1998

Dear Members of the Class of 1998:

As we all know, this is the 10th anniversary of our graduation!  Plans are underway for some type of gathering either in the summer or this fall so that we can all catch up on what each of us has been doing since high school.  Details on that will follow later.

It is sad for all of us that one of our own, Michael Meyer, will be with us only in memory and spirit. In talking to some of our classmates, we agreed that it would be nice to honor Michael with a scholarship presented to a graduate of the Class of 2008.  Every effort will be made to see that the scholarship is given to a graduate who possesses as many of Michael’s great traits as possible.  In order to best accomplish this, a ballot with a description of Michael and his interests, and a list of all current seniors who have definite plans to attend college in the fall, will be given to each high school teacher.  They will be asked to choose the one that they feel best exemplifies Michael’s spirit.

Please give what ever amount you feel you can – our goal is to have a minimum of $1000.  The award will be announced as soon as possible, but this may be sometime in June after graduation.  We will also be sure this receives recognition in the local newspaper.  Any amount over $1000, which the fund accumulates, can be used toward the cost of a memorial item to be presented when we get together.

Please send your contributions to the school at the following address as soon as possible, as we are on a very short time schedule:
