James Brisbin
Greetings to all former students and staff of Central Peel Composite and Secondary School. I taught Geography and History in Room 125 at the back of the school from 1969 to 2000.
When I retired, I presented the school with a Historic Roll of all staff who had worked at the school over its 40 year history (then). When the Reunion Commiittee was struck for the 50th Anniversary Reunion, I volunteered to update the Historic Roll and try to get in touch with as many of the former staff (teachers, teacher aids, secretaries, custodians and administration) as I could.
I am pleased to announce that to date 840 of the 1020 current and former staff have been identified and located. Regrettably, this includes 165 who are no longer with us. Invitations have been sent out to 672 individuals and hopefully a good number of them will be in attendance at the Reunion so they can meet former students and fellow co-workers and share memories of good times in the past.
Speaking from experience, there is always one (or more) person in our high school lives to whom we owe a great debt of gratitude to for their guidance, friendship, leadership and/or mentoring which had a great deal of influence on our success and happiness. The Reunion is a great opportunity to re-establish contact and say that much needed "Thank You" to those who so greatly influenced our lives.
Looking forward to seeing many of you June 12th
