School Story:
There are many funny stories I could tell, and many funny situations I got myself into while attending Central Peel. Most resulted from language deficiency, which makes them even funnier now, when I look back.
But telling a story is not what I would like to do at this point. There is no place allocated in this profile for thanking someone, and since I will not be present at the reunion, I'll do it here, in this section. There were a few outstanding people that touched my life deeply. Immigration is difficult for everyone, and those that helped to carry the burden of adjustment through most difficult times, will always stay in my heart. So... Here I go...
Shawn Moore... The guy with a kind heart, and a kind word for everyone. Thank you! For every smile you pulled out of me on my bad days, for every joke you made, for your help in our chemistry class, for your thoughtfulness. Thank you for that vanilla ice cream that you and others got for me on my Bday. There are no words to express how much I appreciated everything you have done. If you are reading this, I want you to know how special the memory of you is to me.
Amir Taherzadeh and his cousin Kambiz (sorry, buddy, I could not recall your last name)... You two were the highlights of my calculus class. Thank you for sooo many things you have done to make me feel normal in my new life. Thank you for all the fun we had together, for my birthday gifts, for all your crazy jokes, and for everything I do and do not remember.
Now, being a mom, I hope that my son will always be surrounded by people like you. There will always be a small warm place in my heart where the memories like these ones will reside.
