He was born May 25, 1964, in Jasonville, as the son of Billie J. and Patricia Morrison Mears Sr. Following graduation from high school, he began a career as an electrician.
He is married to Sherry Yvonne Mankins Mears.
He was a member of the Bee Ridge Church.
He was preceded in death by his father-in-law Mickey Mankins and brother-in-law Mark Mankins.
He is survived by his wife Sherry Mears, daughter Mikki Maurey and husband David, Columbus, Ind., parents Bill and Patricia Mears, Brazil, sisters Pam Girton and husband Barry, Brazil, and Donna Blankenship and husband Richard, Shelburn, grandmother Victoria Morrison, Brazil, and other extended family.
Moore Funeral Home was chosen to provide funeral services. Visitation will be 1-2 p.m., Saturday, at Bee Ridge Church.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Saturday, April 24, with Pastor Jeff Bridgewater officiating, with burial to follow at Bee Ridge Cemetery.
A benefit event to assist with medical expenses will take place at 1 p.m., May 8, at the Forest Park Pavilion in Brazil.
