She was born Sept. 27, 1965, in Fort Wayne, as the daughter of Howard and Irmgard Nicklasch Dean.
She graduated from Brazil High School with the Class of 1983, and earned her Registered Nurse degree from Indiana State University. She worked as a nurse at area home health agencies and had worked and volunteered at the Exotic Feline Rescue Center, Center Point.
Sandy was preceded in death by her father, nephew Nicholas Dean Moore, maternal grandparents Bernhard and Maria Nicklasch, and paternal grandparents Glen and Myrtle Dean.
She is survived by her daughter Brooklyn Dean, mother Irmgard Dean, sister Brenda Moore and husband Mark, nephews Dylan and Kyle Moore, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
Visitation will be 11 a.m.-1 p.m., Saturday, March 13, at Moore Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Saturday, with Pastor Richard McShanog officiating. Burial will follow at Clearview Cemetery.
