Ricky D. Jones, 34, of Brazil, died July 1999, in Sullivan County following an accident on a road course located in an abandoned mining area. Born Feb. 23, 1965, he was the son of Jerry D. and Linda Kline Jones. He was a graduate of Brazil High School. He had been an auto mechanic and enjoyed restoring old cars. He was currently employed in the packaging department at the Indy Bake Company in Seelyville. He had memberships to the Brazil Eagles Lodge No. 274 and the Brazil Moose Lodge No. 780. He was preceded in death by his step-mother, Deborah "Debbie" J. Jones, who died in January. Survivors include his wife Sandy Wells Jones, who he married May 20, 1995; his father of Brazil; his mother and step-father, Linda and Ralph H. Cooper, of Brazil; a brother, Michael Jones, of Brazil; a step-brother, W. Allen Cooper, of Brazil; a step-sister and her husband, Teresa and David Lawson, of Cory; as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Miller Memorial Chapel. The Rev. Robert Sampson will officiate with burial at Clearview Cemebery. visitation, with closed casket, is today from 4 to 8 p.m.
