Well 10 days after graduation I left for Great Lakes, IL. 2 months later finished navy boot camp and was on my way to the fleet. My first ship was USS Normandy (CG-60) in Norfolk, VA from 2000-2004. While on-board I went through 2 Mediteranian and Persian Gulf Deployments. From VA I trasfered to NAS Pensacola, FL working as a Corrections Specialist at the Brig. Serving there from 2004-2008. However my last year serving in Florida I was chosen for an Individual Augmentie Assignment to Iraq. I served as Weapons Control Officer for an all Navy Unit known as C-RAM (Counter Rocket Artillery and Mortar) 2nd Division from June 2007- Dec 2007. My newest duty has taken me to the newest Destroyer in the US Naval Fleet. USS Stockdale (DDG-106) which I have been a part of from the time it was first laid into the water in Bath, ME. Now the ship rests in its homeport of San Diego, CA. God it feels good to be back on the west coast.
