Jerald Tennison
An 18 year old West Bremerton High School honor graduate apparently took his life early Saturday morning by connecting a hose from the exhaust of his auto to the passenger compartment.
Dead is Jerald L. Tennison, 3308 6th St., a June graduate and a member of the National Honor Society.
M.L. "Bud" Morrison, county coroner, said this morning that Tennison was declared dead from a apparent carbon monoxide poisoning at the scene.
Sheriff's deputies found the car the young man was driving at a parking lot across the street from the Navy recreation center, Camp McKean, on Kitsap Lake, about 4:15pm Saturday.
Morrison said the young man had been dead about eight to 12 hours before deputies found the car.
Mr. Tennison was born in Bremerton on Dec.1, 1955 and had attended Bremerton schools most of his life. He worked for a time at the Pancake House in Bremerton until quitting about a month and half ago.
He is survived by his parents Mr. and Mrs Lynn Tennison of the family home.
Funeral services have been scheduled for 1 p.m. Wednesday at Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
