Comments:

I have been happily remarried since February 2002. I have 5 grandchildren ranging from 7.5 yr to 8 months.
I am currently training to do the "3Day Walk" for Breast Cancer this September. During this event I will walk 20 miles a day, 3 days in a row. Prior to this I will have raised $3000 towards Breast Cancer research. Anyone interested in supporting me can go to the website www.the3day.org and click on "Donate" my participant name is Linda R Starr. Thank you ahead of time! :)

My hobbies are walking, bicycling, kayaking, hiking, fishing, camping and gardening.

My passions (besides my husband of course)are my children and grandchildren, culinary arts, quilting and sewing, and knitting - which is a brand new hobby!

I completed 1 yr at Olympic College with a major in Business and minor in Music. Recently I completed the first level of Paraoptametric Training.

I kept up with my flute until about 5 yr ago. I played with the Bremerton Symphony, Pacific NW Wind Symphony, and on the worship team in a local church.

I met Rick in 2000...neither one of us was "looking"...I was fairly content with my life as it was.
At the time we were both getting back into running so we would meet up a couple of times a week, then more and more. Then he started coming up for dinner, or I over for dinner. We loved just hanging out...still do!
We moved in with each other 7 months later and married 17 months after that.
I am extremely blessed to have a partner and companion who loves me "unconditionally"....we have an awesome relationship.
My children have grown up and now they are having children of their own. I'll tell you, being a grandparent is one of the best things in the whole world.

I worked for a "Family Practice" with 7 doctors for almost 5 yrs and decided that the stress that goes with that environment was just more than I was willing to put up with at this stage in my life. For the past 3 years I have been working for an Optometrist and am totally "loving" it.

So, there you have most of my life over these past several years. Hope it was not too boring. I just think I have a great life!!!!

School Story:

Looking back some of my best memories are from my time in the Band and Orchestra. We did so many cool things. All the times we practiced our halftime routines in the rain, over and over again I'd do over.
All the summer practices on one of the side streets in Bremerton in the HOT evenings for the Seafair and Torchlight parades.
The pride we all had playing our school song and going into the form of an anchor and hearing the crowds go "oo and ah"!
Those were great times for me.
