I can't begin to say how crushed I was to hear of Doug’s passing. I was lucky enough to "run" with Doug through-out high school and for many years after. I was always amazed by his natural athletic abilities and wit.

As we prepare for our 35th class reunion this summer, unfortunately the reception and especially the dance floor will be a little quieter without him …. but his legend and stories will live on for many decades to come. Miss ya Dougie. TC

What happened to cause Doug's untimely death? Anyone know?

My favorite memory of Doug was with that 55-ish Chevy Truck with a 327 Corvette engine. Doug is driving me down Marine Drive one day near Devitt's house and Doug decides to "punch it". With no weight in the back, the wheels begin to spin. I look up and the truck is sideways. Obviously Doug had practiced this several times before because he quickly recovered and looked over at my wide eyes and said "what?"
