Norman McDonald
Former Bremerton resident Norman Joseph McDonald, 44, of Loxahatchee Groves, Fla., died of kidney cancer April 23, 2001, at Palms West Hospital in Loxahatchee.
He was born Aug. 9, 1956, in Bremerton to Allen and Shirley (Leier) McDonald. He graduated from Bremerton High School in 1974, from Palm Beach Junior College in Lake Worth, Fla., in 1982, and from Central Florida University in Orlando in 1986. He also attended Ricks College in Rexburg, Idaho.
He married Patricia Ann Tyndall on Dec. 7, 1977, in Kensington, Md.
Mr. McDonald was a computer instructor for middle-school students and adults.
He volunteered with Boy Scouts of America and enjoyed genealogy. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Survivors include his wife; his parents; and a sister, Denise (McDonald) Thompson.
A memorial service was April 28 at The Church of Jesus of Christ of Latter-day Saints, Wellington Ward, Wellington, Fla. Interment was at Hillcrest Cemetery in West Palm Beach, Fla. Arrangements were under the direction of Palms West Funeral Home in Royal Palm, Fla.
Memorial donations may be made to Boy Scout Troop 1542 in Bremerton, to American Cancer Society or to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Missionary Fund.
