BUCKSPORT - Sherry Lee Bires journeyed to heaven peacefully on May 27, 2014 at her home surrounded by family and loved ones.

Sherry was born on June 12, 1953 in Maine and has been a resident her entire life. Her passions in life were top most being a great mother and wife, spinning wool, crocheting beautiful heirloom pieces, spending time fishing and helping her husband build their retirement camp up north and pampering her little puppies Pippi,Kiki, and Foxy. She had a big heart and always thought of others, even in her last days. Sherry believed in living life to the fullest and will be greatly missed by those who not only shared her life everyday but also by the medical community that helped her through her biggest times of need.

Sherry is predeceased by her Father George Lyons, Mother Dorothy Harvie Lyons, Brother Allen Lyons and best friend Jeanine Milliken.

Those left to treasure her memories are her husband and best friend of 43 years Brent D. Bires and two beautiful daughters Michele Matthews and Kelly Bires. She was most proud of her four grandsons Brent and Christopher Chaffee as well as James and Jason Terrill of Bucksport.

Per request of Sherry, a private celebration of her life will be shared with her immediate family in her honor.
