Charles Leonard Sansom, III passed away on December 3, 2018 at the age of 65.

Born November 8th, 1953 to Charles and Florence (McCartney) Sansom in Bangor, Maine, Charlie moved around a lot as a child. He split his time living on multiple military bases in Tennessee and Maine. Following high school, he served in the United States Navy where he met his wife of 43 years, Gracia.

The couple lived in the Washington, D.C. area for 18 years, where they had their two children (Beth and David). Charlie's job relocated the family of four to Texas in 1990, where he continued work in the IT field. He was an avid bowler and previously attended every national tournament with the American Bowling Congress.

Charlie was preceded in death by his father Charles, mother Florence, stepmother Geneva and his wife Gracia, who passed at the end of 2016. He is survived by his two children, Beth Lunkenheimer and her husband Rick, and David Sansom. His stepsister Sue and stepbrother Dick and his wife Linda are also still around.

Charlie was laid to rest, with military honors presented, at the Dallas Ft. Worth National Cemetery on Thursday, December 6, 2018.
