Jeanine Thibodeau (Milliken) - Class Of 1971

Newmarket- Jeanine M. Milliken, 59, of Exeter Road, died August 29, 2012, at her home, with her family by her side, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born March 7, 1953, in Bangor, ME, the daughter of Blake and Dolores (Moore) Thibodeau, she was raised in Brewer and was a 1971 graduate of Brewer High School. After graduation, she worked at Merchants Bank in Bangor as a bookkeeper until her marriage to George in 1976, when she moved to Portsmouth, NH. Jeanine moved to Newmarket in 1979.

An active member of the Newmarket Community Church, Jeanine taught Sunday School, served on the Deaconate, was Clerk, and helped in the Thrift Shop.

She was also a Den leader when her boys were in the Cub Scouts.

Jeanine volunteered and worked at the Newmarket Public Library and was an Aide at Newmarket Junior/Senior High School. She was employed at Northeast Health Care Quality Foundation, where she worked as a programs assistant.

Jeanine was a dedicated wife, mother, daughter and sister. She enjoyed family gatherings, singing and laughing, outdoor activities, her flower garden, hiking, and cooking. She loved children and was always willing to help and serve others. Jeanine would always say “Find the joy in every day”, an expression that she lived by.

In addition to her parents of Dedham, ME, Jeanine is survived by her husband of 35 years, George A. Milliken; 2 sons, Matthew Milliken of Shrewsbury, MA, and Brian Milliken of Newmarket; brother, Bruce Thibodeau of Parsonsfield, ME; sister, Lorraine Bloodsworth of Bradley, ME; mother-in-law, Marcia Milliken of Eliot, ME; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces & nephews.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 4th from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the Kent & Pelczar Funeral Home, 77 Exeter Street, Newmarket, NH.

A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Newmarket Community Church, Main Street, Newmarket. Private burial will be at the convenience of the family.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Dedham ME.UCC Church, on Saturday, Sept. 22nd at 2 p.m.
