Wrightsville, PA. - Colby E. Knowlton, 67, died October 20, 2019 in a hospital in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, after an eight year battle with cancer. He was born in Bangor, July 21, 1952, the second child of Preston and Audrey Knowlton.

Colby graduated from Brewer High School in 1970, enlisted in the Air Force in 1971, serving his country for sixteen years. He then worked for many years for companies in the natural gas pipeline business. This career took him from Maine to Seattle, then back east to Florida, Tennessee and Pennsylvania.

Colby was predeceased by his parents.

He is survived by his brother, Dennis; his partner, Lyn, of Dedham, Maine.

He was a devoted uncle to his niece, Denise, nephew Derrick Knowlton; and step-uncle to Corey Pattison. He was a great uncle to Brittaney Day and Jasmine R. Knowlton. Also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He leaves behind his beloved dog, Snowball. Per Colby's request Denny and Lyn will love and care for Snowball for the remaining years of her life.

Colby was a kind hearted man and would help any animal or person in need. Colby made many life long friends over the years. Colby loved life and will be missed by all that knew him.

There will be a celebration of Colby's life in May, 2020.
