ELLSWORTH – Constance Helen Foster, 55, died March 17, 2006, at her residence. She was born March 1, 1951, in Brewer, the daughter of Merle S. and Gertrude (Van Dyke) Bowden. Connie was a graduate of Brewer High School, Class of 1969. In her early years she was a homemaker raising three sons. She was an avid horsewoman and enjoyed horseback riding. She loved to travel and did so extensively. After her children were raised she became active in various endeavors, which included starting her own internet publishing company. Connie was also active in such organizations as Obsessive Compulsive Foundation and Disorder and National Alliance for Mental Illness (NAMI). During the past she traveled worldwide doing speaking engagements on Obsessive Compulsive Disorder in such places as Helsinki, Finland, Vienna, Austria, Boston, New York, Los Angeles and Washington, D.C. She is survived by her parents of Brewer; husband, Stephen of Ellsworth; three sons, Christopher of Westbrook, Jesse B. and Nicholas R., both of Ellsworth; brother, John Bowden of Brewer. Calling hours will be held 11:30 Monday, March 20, at Jordan-Fernald, 113 Franklin St., Ellsworth, where a memorial service will be held 1 p.m., with the Rev. Richard Rockwell officiating.
