
Dedham - Donald Holyoke, finished his last sidewalk, set his last granite curb and stamped his last patio on October 6, 2024. He was born in Brewer, June 13, 1951, the son of the late John "Pete" and Marilyn (Young) Holyoke.
He graduated from Brewer High School class of 1969 and EMVTI, class of 1971. Don began his career owning and operating Pine State Cycle, on North Main St., Brewer. After that he worked for Darlings Recreational Division, and Dirigo Slip Form. Then he started Curb Sol, his business which continues today. He had many hobbies, hunting, fishing, camping, racing motorcycles, painting, pitching horseshoes and spending time at his camps in Linneus, Maine.
Don was predeceased by a nephew, Christopher Holyoke. Surviving are his beloved wife, Bronwyn "Bonnie"; two sons, Jason Holyoke and wife, Jill, and their daughter, Lauren, and Todd Holyoke and son, Brayden; stepson, Joseph Shorey and son, Sullivan; brothers, Robin Holyoke and Mark Holyoke and wife, Jamie; sister, Kelly Fitzpatrick and husband, Greg; sister-in-law, Kimberley Doughty; many nephews and nieces; David Shorey Jr. and Richard Treadwell Jr., and the rest of his Curb Sol crew; his fur babies, Zeva and Talia; Linneus Fire Rd. friends; and his life-long friend, Skip Butler.
