Glenburn - Nancy Ann Whitcomb of Glenburn, 71, passed away January 23, 2022, at EMMC after a short battle with cancer. She was raised in Brewer and graduated from Brewer High School in 1969. She attended Delour Beauty School after graduation.
She was predeceased by her parents, Paul Whitcomb and Gladys (Cyr) Whitcomb of Brewer; and her daughter, Michelle Gomm of South Carolina. She is survived by her life partner, Skip Hawkes of Glenburn; her brothers, Richard, Billy and Brian; and her daughter, Christine Cotter of Wisconsin; along with a number of nieces, nephews and grandchildren.
Nancy was an avid crafter and owned her own craft store in Holden for a number of years. She also worked in the hospitality industry, and spent a number of years in retail. In her final years of retirement she enjoyed knitting, and she had a giving and loving nature.
There will be no memorial service at her request. She will be buried with family in the spring at Pleasant View Cemetery in Bangor. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Nancy's name to the Bangor Homeless Shelter.
