Flower Mound, TX - Ramona Irene Peters, 75, died at home after a short battle with pancreatic cancer on October 17, 2018. She was born the 3rd of 4 children to Howard and Clara Lambert on August 21, 1943 in Brewer, Maine. In 1961, she graduated from Brewer High School.
Ramona met her husband Paul Peters in high school and later married on June 27, 1964. While in Maine, she worked as bank secretary to put Paul through college before retiring to take care of the family home. The couple moved to Binghamton, New York in 1966. While in New York, Ramona gave birth to their children, daughter Dawne in 1967 and son Seth in 1980. Paul's work moved the family to Flower Mound, Texas in 1988. Ramona was active in the Daughters of the Nile, Denton County Aggie Moms, Empty Nesters and Classic Women at Vista Ridge United Methodist Church. In her free time, she enjoyed painting ceramics, quilting, reading, scrapbooking, and spending time with her grandchildren. In August 2018, she was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.
Ramona is survived by husband of 54 years Paul, daughter Dawne Peters-Zlinsky and son-in-law Steve of Flower Mound, son Seth and daughter-in-law Rebecca of Houston, grandchildren Zorie, Juliana, and Jacob, sisters Gail Spooner of Maine and Phyllis Wilson of Massachusetts, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Chester, and twin grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home in Lewisville, Texas at 1pm on Friday, October 19, 2018.
