Brewer - Lawrence A. LeVasseur Sr., age 77, died peacefully at home after a prolonged battle with cancer on August 25, 2020. Born on October 9th, 1942, he was the youngest son of Clarence B. LeVasseur and Avon Lamb LeVasseur.
Known to his many friends as Larry, he graduated from Brewer High School in 1961. Larry was always a hard worker and after a short time of employment in Connecticut, he returned to his beloved Brewer, Maine and worked as a salesperson for a wholesale florist, Sears, and most recently, Lowe's. Larry was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also had a passion for motorcycles. Larry had an outgoing personality, quick sense of humor and great smile that allowed him to make lifelong friends. Larry's stories could quickly put a smile on anybody's face. He was greatly loved by all his families and friends. Larry was always there to lend a hand to anybody who asked, no matter the task.
He is survived by his children, Larry, Jr., Robyn, and Troy; five grandchildren, Jessica, Albert, Anthony, Joshua, and Craig; eight great-grandchildren; his brothers, John and Paul; and many nieces and nephews; and his great friends, Jane Clemons, Charles Clemons, Paul and Lisa Haslam and Charlotte Price. Larry was predeceased by his parents and his brothers, Bernard and Earl.
