
Connie Cushing Coulter, 66, lost her battle with cancer on Friday, January 6, 2017, at a Bangor hospital while holding the hands of her beloved husband, Malcolm Coulter Jr.;and daughter, Jasmine Coulter. She was born in Littleton, New Hampshire, June 14,1950, to James Warren Cushing and Dorothy Finn Cushing. She had a wonderful childhood with her sisters Kathryn and Patricia.
She met the love of her life, MalcolmCoulter Jr. and married on August 21, 1971.For 18 years she worked as a registered nurse. She enjoyed working in Labor and Delivery and spent the majority of her nursing career helping women. Later, Connie went back to school and received her Ed Tech II degree. She worked for 15 years as an Ed Tech in area schools.Working with the students was the highlight of each and every day.Connie was passionate about whatever she put her mind to, enjoying crafts, reading, fishing and listening to music and working on puzzles. She wrote many poems and was well known as an animal lover. Her family will remember her as a great cook and a kind person who loved others unconditionally. Connie put her faith in God and attended Saint John's Church regularly. The sanctity of life was very important to her. Faith, hope and love were words she lived by.
Connie is survived by her husband, Malcolm; daughters, Teresa C Bemis and husband, David, of Fairfield and Jasmine Ashleigh Coulter of Bangor. She has grandchildren, Kyle Cummings, Brian Powel and Morgan Sawyer. Connie is survived by her mother, Dorothy Finn Cushing of Brewer; and sisters, Kathryn Ellen Aucoin and Phillip of Waterford, Vt. and Patricia Mary Elliot and David of Orrington. Connine has many in-laws, including Shirley Ericson and Steven of Pennsylvania, Russell Coulter and Marietta of Casco, Louise Murray and Glenn of Holden and Nancy Coulter of Eddington. She has many nieces and nephews.
